So as you know our Team Riders attend the biggest windsurf event in Europe every year, and 2016 is no exception. Neil and Steve took the coolest Team Bus in Europe (so Defi Wind Facebook says!) down to Gruissan, France to take part in the most extreme long distance windsurf race in the world………Defi Wind.

We got here on the Sunday before the Thursday start date to get some sailing in and the location didn’t let us down. 40-45knot winds were served up from Sunday to Tuesday allowing me to really get to grips with my NEW Severne NuEvo 86 Carbon Biax board (Review coming later) and to test the K4 Rocket fins in my Fanatic Freewave 86 Textreme.

We are now at Thursday….. the start of the event and the wind has evaporated to 3 knots!!! – so paddleboarding is the order of the day here. The weekend look to be very wet and not so windy so we are contemplating returning early to the UK. Even if we do Defi wind has been another epic sailing experience and the party here just gets better and better!

se Bon!!!

Neil
