For over 5 years both our shops, Quayside Windsurfers and Severneshop, have attended the National Watersports Festival hosted annually at Hayling Island on the South Coast. We took the biggest and best stand to date this year, with over 70 sails, 100 masts, and 25 boards we certainly had the largest retail stand at the event for 2014. The forecast was for bright sunshine but little wind but the watersports public turned out in their droves. I would guess over 7000 people attended the event over the three days its held. IMG_4783

The Quayside Windsurfers stand started on the Friday as it meant to go on, with team riders Neil Greentree, Andy Holland, Steve Chatten and Jon Fanneran being kept busy with Severne customers asking technical questions, asking about the NEW S-1 Pro sails amongst others, and looking at the New Fanatic and RRD windsurf boards and a great selection of 12 month old Fanatic boards on display including 2 Fanatic Freewave Textreme boards.

We had windsurfers returning to the sport and wanting to ‘kit up’ over the weekend. Steve brought his daughter along to buy his kit to get him back on the water. We helped him get kitted out and also  showed him how to rig his Severne Gator sail. Others travelled from far and wide to come along and see the largest collection of Severne kit for sale in one place in the world!!. We had a couple of ladies from Ireland who sailed together had made the journey to come to the event and come onto the stand to talk about Severne Sails. We advised them both to try the Severne S-1 range together with Severne masts and extensions.
