Last year’s OverDrive R7 was very well received, so the starting point for the OverDrive R8 was already high.
The main changes that were implemented last year were the higher aspect ratio to reduce back hand pressure and make it easier to clear for waterstarts, and also the Performance Construction to maximise performance and minimise weight. The new OverDrive R8 is the next step along this path.
Key changes for 2017 are…
NEW CAMS: A redesigned SDM cam improves rotation, ease of rigging and allows minimal downhaul settings without risk of the cam popping off.
FASTER: The lower leech has been opened to reduce drag, and the profiles have been moved back for a refined entry.
